Wall Street Strategist Performance 2018

In December every year, Barron’s, a fabled financial news weekly, asks 10 of Wall Street “top” strategists to predict the industry sectors to buy or sell for the year ahead, and every year since 2007, an independent economist whose research we license, diligently tracks the performance of their picks and pans.  

If the Wall Street strategists in Barron’s predicted which sectors to buy or sell accurately every year, the black dots would all fall along the red line, but instead they’re all over the chart! Scattered randomly!
