Genevia Gee Fulbright
Early Career Experiences
While in college Genevia served as a Revenue Agent Intern at the Internal Revenue Service in San Francisco, Sales Auditor at Mervyn’s (a former Dayton Hudson/Target Subsidiary) in Oakland and Tax Intern at Adams, Grant, Werner & Company (known now as Grant & Smith) in Oakland.
After graduating with a degree in Accounting from San Francisco State University she served as a Senior Auditor for a California CPA firm (Adams, Grant, Werner & Company) where she was the first entry-level staff member to recruit a new audit client as well as write the audit program. She also successfully conducted joint audits on behalf of the practice to maintain the firm’s joint-venture positions with Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (Deloitte) and Main Hurdman (KPMG).
Genevia is the current President & Chief Operating Officer of Fulbright & Fulbright, CPA, PA (Est. 1986) and President & Chief Marketing Officer of Fulbright Knowledge Alliances, Inc. (Est. 2003).
In addition to being actively engaged in her firms she is the author and contributor to over 100 articles and books and conducts book tours/lectures/seminars and has served on numerous boards, including a publicly traded bank, national foundation and early-stage mutual fund.
Genevia, a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) also holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certificate in addition to being a NACD Governance Fellow.
Role at the firms
Fulbright is responsible for client development and day to day operations in addition to business advisory/ coaching, tax planning and preparation for educators, entrepreneurs, executives and retirees predominantly in technical and regulated industries.
